Job DescriptionWe are seeking a strategic and experienced Group Product Manager to lead a portfolio of product categories and drive innovation, growth, and profitability. This role is responsible for managing cross-functional teams, developing and executing long-term product strategies, and delivering against P&L objectives. The Group Product Manager will play a key role in shaping go-to-market plans, guiding product development, and aligning initiatives with brand and business goals.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned product leader with a strong background in category management, product lifecycle strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. They are a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
This role is designated as a hybrid role which includes working at least 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) to foster better collaboration, connection, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage product/category teams to achieve P&L objectives, drive innovation and collaborate across functions.Grow, support, & develop skillset of team.Develop & execute 3-year product plan conducting ongoing analysis to align timing & resources.Partner with Global Product Development on product plan strategy & execution.Lead cross-functional product development teams and provide marketing leadership at tollgatesProvide direction on value proposition, unique selling proposition, price, margin and supply for new product developmentDefine market segment priorities and partner with Channel Marketing establish Go-To-Market strategies and plans to achieve P&L objectives.Own and drive building, adaptation, & internal implementation of CLP (Category Leadership Plan) along with influencing adoption & implementation across the business – includes key drivers to grow the category, goal setting & driving category growth initiatives.Lead situation analysis for multiple products lines within assigned product portfolio and provide key inputs to overall SBU strategic planLead pricing decisions for multiple lines within assigned product portfolio driving revenue and margin contribution to achieve P&L objectives.Own product lifecycle management for assigned product portfolio, including all product launches and plans for discontinued product.Partner with Innovation on the definition and scoping of projects. Ensure alignment with brand and SBU objectives.Oversee product training content to be delivered internally (to Sales team) and externally (to customers) by Channel Marketing.Oversee & ensure connectivity of collaboration with Marketing Services/Digital to develop 2D, 3D and digital product collateral.Partner with Global Brand Marketing to ensure alignment of product with brand plan.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field, is required; MBA preferred.Minimum of 8 years of product management experience is required. Prior consumer/durable goods experience is preferred.Strong analytical skills, including ability to arrive at insights from analytical data, is essential for market and competitive evaluation, pricing and line managementDemonstrated ability to be a team player with skills to lead/participate in cross-functional teamsDemonstrated verbal, written and presentation skillsAdvanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP)Ability to travel approximately 15%, mainly to customer locations & industry eventsAdditional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $120,000 USD - $173,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
