Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
+ 5 years of experience leading to the development and launch of software platforms or infrastructure.
+ 5 years of experience managing a team of Product Managers.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
+ Experience building products from concept to launch, particularly "v1" or foundational platforms.
+ Experience running and scaling business processes.
+ Experience defining long-term product goals and strategy for evolving product areas.
+ Experience with AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI products.
+ Understanding of trust and safety, risk management, content policy, or platform responsibility.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
In this leadership role, you will drive scaling our approach to ensuring feature safety at YouTube. Your scope will include a transformative opportunity to build a scalable platform, ensuring every YouTube feature is safe by design through technology, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence. You will lead, mentor and partner with a high-performing cross-functional team to offer real-time rpartnerisk assessment and mitigation; accelerating YouTube’s innovation. As a key thought partner to Vice Presidents (VPs) and Directors, you will use data-driven insights to drive alignment on critical safety strategies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Define and execute a long-term goal for our feature safety through technology, partnerships and process transformation.
+ Lead the enhancement, upgrading and development of a platform with real-time safety monitoring, risk assessment, and feature-mitigation configuration - overseen by data driven decision making with human expertise and judgement.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
+ Serve as a strategic thought partner to Vice Presidents (VPs) and Directors, driving alignment on complex safety strategies and investments with data-driven insights.
+ Ensure operational excellence at scale, overseeing risk assessment, safe launch execution, and driving continuous improvements in on-boarding new features.
