The Opportunity:
We are seeking a strategic and energetic leader who is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience to the molecular point of care market. The Group Marketing Manager (GMM) - Molecular Point of Care Solutions is accountable for driving business impact through the development and execution of marketing strategy across the Near Patient Care business. This individual will be accountable for coaching, leading and developing a team of marketers while providing a clear vision and focus on desired outcomes in order to drive strategy and execution excellence in a high growth segment. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for owning significant business deliverables and ensuring efficient and appropriate marketing investment spend. The GMM is expected to collaborate with global product development teams to represent US market needs and enable the US affiliate to drive topline results while reaching Near Patient Care P&L goals. The GMM and the Molecular Point of Care team must effectively collaborate and partner with many stakeholders across the organization, including Customer Marketing, Digital Solutions marketing, Corporate Accounts, Supply Chain, Roche Service Network, Commercial Education, Sales, Legal, Pricing / Contracting, and other functions to deliver innovative customer solutions.
Job Facts:
Reports to the Director of Product Marketing, Near Patient Care and serves as a member of the extended Marketing Leadership Team
Primary point of interface to our global product lifecycle development team
Accountable for our molecular Point of Care solutions portfolio, inclusive of product lifecycle management (instrument, software, assays) and outbound (downstream) marketing of solutions within scope of responsibility
Accountable for meeting short-term and long-term (3-5 year) priorities and strategic outcomes for specific area of responsibility within Near Patient Care Marketing
Leads development and execution of product/portfolio plan to create demand and maximize customer and financial impact; develops and analyzes metrics to drive development of plans and determine successful attainment of desired outcomes
Responsible for managing investment decisions to ensure profitability while also maximizing resources across the business with an enterprise mindset
Responsible for development of the US Molecular Point of Care Solutions strategy to enable us to achieve our local and global goals, requiring effective change management with internal stakeholders and current Roche customers
Coaches and leads members of the Molecular Point of Care marketing team on the responsibilities below:
Analyze and assess research to extrapolate meaning and opportunities that drive overall market strength and positioning in existing and potential markets
Identify and work regularly with appropriate internal and external resources to clearly define and execute on the marketing strategies and activities, including product lifecycle planning, coordination of technical product development, establishment of pricing strategies, definition of promotional activities, and product launch and sunsetting
Ensure high quality tactical execution and a seamless, well integrated messaging and promotion across multiple marketing platforms while maintaining legal and regulatory compliance
Create & drive strong linkage to Sales and Corporate Accounts, Support Network, Customer experience, Digital Marketing and Customer Insights to ensure achievement of objectives with successful stakeholder engagement and effective resolution of issues; develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and other external individuals/organizations
Responsible for employment decisions for their team including recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching to develop a high performing marketing team.
Who You Are:
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related business or scientific field
You hold 5 years of progressive marketing experience or equivalent work experience
You hold 1 year of direct or indirect leadership experience

This position is based onsite in our Indianapolis campus
No relocation benefits are provided for this role
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $132,200 - $245,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
