Group Manager Commodity - Metals

Meanwhile, you'll have the support and resources of the fastest-growing brand in the construction industry to make it happen. **Your Role on Our Team** Under the direction of and reporting to the Commodity Director, primary duties are to develop and implement sourcing strategies that support the Metals Commodity and ongoing manufacturing operations. Drive sourcing strategy and execution for the Metals Commodity, as well as raw materials, components, and tooling. Develop and execute cost reduction plans to meet or exceed annual budget objectives. Own supplier relationships including negotiations, business awards, contracting, scorecards, risk mitigation, and problem resolution (capacity/cost/quality). Drive sustainable tools and process improvement within the Procurement team globally as well as cross-functionally. This position requires a high degree of professional integrity, ethics and confidentiality. Tasks and projects that address broader organization-wide issues, across business units outside of the procurement department may be assigned. This position is onsite in the Torreon, Coahuila Mexico Facility. **You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:** + Develop and execute cross functionally aligned sourcing strategies. + Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligning with corporate objectives for production. + Lead supplier contract negotiations, employing various negotiation styles to achieve mutually beneficial agreements. + Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges and provide expertise in strategic sourcing and category management. + Provide strategic guidance based on data analysis and trends to improve operational performance. + Establish benchmarks and scorecards for supplier performance and cultivate long-term partnerships to drive productivity. + Develop commodity strategies to reduce total cost of ownership and enhance customer service. + Contribute to the strategic direction of the business unit through project management and change initiatives. + Build relationships across the organization and influence stakeholders, including suppliers and senior management. + Analyze make versus buy decisions and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing and process improvement. + Coordinate with various departments to ensure material supply supports production volumes and business objectives. + Research and evaluate alternate sources of supply. Drive opportunities within cross functional teams and make recommendations for alternate suppliers, designs and materials to reduce costs and supply risks + Establish and maintain reliable sources of supply to ensure timely procurement of all assigned goods, materials and services. Implement and manage long term agreements which deliver best in class quality, delivery and total cost + Initiate necessary correspondence or personal contact to expedite purchased goods, revise purchase orders, effect cancellations, improve terms, resolve disposition of rejected goods and rework costs, adjust invoice discrepancies and rectify other related problems, as needed + Drive sustainable tools and process improvement within the Procurement team globally as well as cross-functionally. **The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:** + Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or engineering related field. + Must have proven experience with metals; castings, molding and machining, turned parts, stamping, powder metal, steel, alu + others. + Have 8+ years sourcing experience with considerable understanding of procurement concepts, principles and at least 6+ years of commodity management and strategic sourcing experience. + Have strong negotiation skills and strategic sourcing and analytical skills. + Show excellence in analytical, fact-based problem solving, and strong sense of urgency. + Have project management skills to develop plans, action steps and timetables and meet deadlines. + Demonstrate strategic decision-making skills regarding business planning processes, make/buy decisions, and similar business-related concerns. + Strong collaboration, influencing skills and communication skills across all organizational levels, both internally and within supplier organizations. + Exhibit a high degree of autonomy with the ability to work effectively in a team environment to pull disparate pieces together across the organization and "get things done". + Ability to partner with department leaders to identify, create, and plan capabilities necessary to meet short and long-term business needs. + Demonstrate a continuous improvement ethos; ability to identify areas of opportunity and positively influence business decisions. + Strong track record of driving results and savings/cost reduction and executing projects on time. + Demonstrated experience in data mining to help make fact-based, data-driven decisions. + Familiar with ERP systems. + Willingness to travel domestically and/or globally (up to 30%) **We provide a great package of benefits on top of the Labor Law.** Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation (-Milwaukee Tool-) is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer seeking to employ and advance in employment qualified persons without discrimination and to not allow harassment of any employee or applicant because of race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic characteristics, physical or mental disability, national origin, age, status as a protected veteran, and any other status protected by local, state, or federal law **_Please upload resume in English._** Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled We endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
