The Group Lead Hollow Fiber for Cytiva is responsible for owning daily 5S audits and encourage employees to start & end each day with this practice; assisting with the resolution of safety concerns and investigations while supporting a culture where safety is a priority; supporting cross-training plans within the area and ensure all employees receive adequate training before starting a new job task; encouraging an environment of continuous improvement for all assigned products and processes; and advocating for Kaizen process rigor within the team and develop a strong Lean culture.
This position is part of the Hollow Fiber department located in Westborough, MA and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
Lead daily shift stand-ups to set team goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production, and compliance and coach team to be accountable and take ownership.
Motivate team to achieve goals in asset utilization, process and manufacturing improvement, quality, delivery, and cost reduction. Also review area scorecards.
Backfill for other area leaders when they are absent. Learn manufacturing operations in respective areas and provide coverage as needed due to absences.
Who you are:
Minimum 5 years of production or supply chain experience in a Cleanroom environment.
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Proficient with Oracle, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and FileMaker.
Prior supervisory / leadership experience in a manufacturing team-based environment.
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university.
