Group Finance Manager, GPU CAPEX Investments

The Commercial Product Infrastructure (CPI) team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s cloud-first strategy. The Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team's charter is to build out and operate Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure while driving down unit cost of capacity, ensuring cloud services achieve gross margin growth and share expansion. As a crucial member of the team you’ll provide financial leadership supporting long-term, strategic GPU and Commercial Cloud initiatives across our worldwide fleet. **Responsibilities** **People management:** Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth. **Business partnership:** Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain to influence strategic decisions and ensure alignment on GPU infrastructure investments. **End-to-end ownership:** Oversee the entire CapEx lifecycle for GPU racks and components, from planning and forecasting to execution and performance tracking. **Strategic insight:** Connect data and operational details across functions to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, enabling proactive and informed decision-making. **Financial stewardship:** Ensure the efficient allocation of capital, delivering maximum value for spend while maintaining rigorous financial and operational controls. **Continuous improvement:** Streamline processes, improve transparency, and enhance forecasting accuracy to support agility and scalability in a fast-growing environment. **Qualifications** **Required/minimum qualifications:** + Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field + OR equivalent experience. + 1+ years experience with people management **Additional or preferred qualifications:** + Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience + OR equivalent experience. + 3+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles. + 3+ years work experience in matrix-based organization. + 3+ years work experience in the technology or software industry. + Previous accounting experience in Cloud, supply chain, fixed assets, leases and/or multi-national companies preferred + Demonstrated systems and process improvement experience Financial Analysis M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
