JOB SUMMARY: Performs basic landscape maintenance functions as part of a Horticulture team including watering, weeding, raking of debris, trimming of shrubs, planting of foliage, and back pack blowing of designated areas. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: + Performs manual weeding tasks. + Performs hand watering tasks. + Performs trimming and pruning of shrubs, ground-covers, and vines using primarily hand-held equipment. + Performs mulching tasks. + Performs clean-up tasks. + Performs digging and planting tasks. + Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. + Performs other duties as assigned. SCOPE: Responsible for performing basic horticulture functions to include: weeding, watering, trimming, detailing annual beds, mulching, and back pack blowing designated areas. EDUCATION: High school degree or GED: Preferred EXPERIENCE: + Six months to one year landscape maintenance experience, preferably in upscale commercial or resort environment required + Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
