What this job involves: We are seeking a dedicated Grounds/Landscape Technician to maintain and enhance our campus environment. This outdoor role requires physical stamina, technical skills, and a commitment to excellence in landscape management. You'll make a visible impact on our campus while working primarily outdoors in an active environment creating and maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces.

 

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Tree management (cutting, trimming, chipping, and removal)Trail maintenance and enhancement (gravel application, repairs, grading)Island berm removal and terrain improvementsPlanting and care of trees, shrubs, and grassCampus-wide debris removal and cleanliness maintenanceFence and gate inspection and repairSeasonal field preparationFire road bollard replacementWater feature inspection and maintenanceRoutine landscape maintenance tasks

 

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 6:30 am - 2:30 pm

 

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills: 

Experience operating landscape equipment and performing maintenance checksProficiency with tractors, utility vehicles, and golf cartsSkill with wood chippers and chainsawsCompetence with various mowers and string trimmersAbility to use hand tools effectivelyKnowledge of basic equipment maintenance (oil checks, battery maintenance, tire pressure monitoring)

 

Required Skills and Experience: 

Valid driver's licenseStrong safety orientation with a "Safety First" mindsetAbility and willingness to learn our CMMS Work Order systemConsistent reliability and strong work ethicAbility to work in various weather conditions while performing physical tasksWillingness to attend training and develop new skills
