A Day in the Life:
Assists the Grocery Manager in directing the operation of the Grocery Department (including Frozen, Dairy & Liquor/Beer), including supervising and training personnel. Assists in ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking and merchandising. May direct and control the operation of the entire store in the absence of the Store Director and the Grocery Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service: Champions customer service programs, handles customer relations positively, and promotes personalized service. Operational Support: Assists in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day operations of the grocery department and front end functions. Store Management: Opens and closes the store, ensures compliance with sanitation, safety, and security policies, and recommends corrective actions. Sales and Accounting: Responsible for accounting of sales, maintenance and storage of cash register tapes, and handling money from check stands. Emergency Procedures: Implements emergency procedures in case of equipment and software malfunctions.General Requirements:

Communication & Leadership: Strong written and oral communication skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and develop people while maintaining composure. Team Player & Supervision: Ability to supervise employees, knowledge of employment laws, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Customer Interaction: Friendly, courteous, and able to handle interruptions and complaints effectively. Interacts well with all levels of personnel, customers, vendors, and the public.
