Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Greyhound Racing Lure Motor Operator to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Greyhound Racing Lure Motor Operator, you will be responsible for operating the mechanical lure effectively for each official race, ensuring a consistent and safe distance is used between the lure and the greyhounds. What will you do?Follow all rules of racing and applicable racing policiesMaintain the condition of the rheostat and other mechanical devices used in lure operation, ensuring proper maintenance of the mechanical lure system, rail, and associated partsConduct morning schooling sessions as required, and inspect the lure rail before each performance to ensure no objects obstruct the lure motorReport any mechanical problems with the lure system, and retrieve paperwork from the racing office for the judgesPerform as a team member and assist fellow team members to ensure smooth operation
