**The opportunity** Delaware North Gaming is hiring for a full-time Greyhound Racing Attendant to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. All team members receive benefits including: + Weekly pay + Employee assistance program + Training and development opportunities + Employee discounts + Flexible work schedules Eligible team members may also receive: health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation days and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, and tuition and/or professional certification reimbursement. **What will you do?** + Conduct inspections of the greyhound mechanical lure and rail system to ensure an efficient operation for every race. + Log and ensure the rail and lure rig is safe and operational before each race; report any damage or non-working equipment. + Ensure the greyhounds are wearing the appropriate muzzles before leaving the paddock for races. + Be responsible for the respectful treatment of all greyhounds in their care at the property. + All other duties assigned. **More about you** + Minimum of 6 months experience as a Greyhound Dog Walker, Leadout, Handler, or similar experience required. + Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate state gaming license. + Ability to problem solve and operate in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. + No high school diploma or GED required. **Physical requirements** + Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. + Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. + Ability to remain standing for entire length of shift. **Shift details** Day shift Weekends Split shift **Who we are** Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, West Virginia, is a Delaware North-owned-and-operated regional gaming destination featuring 1,300 electronic gaming machines, 22 table games, live greyhound racing, and simulcast wagering.
