ABOUT THE ROLE The Great China Finance Controller role is pivotal in overseeing the financial operations of China entities and participating in the management of local joint ventures. This role encompasses the supervision of accounting, financial reporting, and internal control activities, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, US GAAP standards, and the company's internal policies. The ideal candidate should be a proactive, results-oriented professional with a high level of integrity, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex financial operations effectively. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Accounting and Financial Reporting Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of China entities. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP reporting standards and local regulatory requirements. + Internal Control and Compliance Establish and maintain a robust internal control framework for local entities and joint ventures, in line with the company's global internal control standards and local regulatory requirements. Conduct regular internal control assessments, identify control weaknesses, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. + Joint Venture Management Participate in the financial management of local joint ventures, including the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and financial analysis. Provide financial advice and support to the joint venture management team and ensure alignment with the company's financial policies and strategies. + Team Management and Leadership Lead and manage the controllership team in China, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and career development of finance staff. Foster a high - performing team culture, promote teamwork, and encourage continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications + Minimum of 8 - 10 years of relevant work experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Experience in overseeing the financial operations of multinational companies or local entities in China, and experience in managing joint ventures is desirable. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. In - depth knowledge of China accounting standards and US GAAP reporting requirements. Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and compliance requirements. + Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
