As a Software Development Engineer focused on GPU rendering, you’ll work with world-class experts and next-generation hardware and software to push the boundaries of real-time graphics and performance. THE PERSON: You're a passionate software engineer with a deep understanding of real-time rendering and GPU architecture. You’re driven by performance and quality, thrive in collaborative environments, and enjoy solving tough technical problems that others might shy away from. You communicate clearly, work effectively across teams, and are always looking for ways to push technology forward. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with external game developers to help them fully utilize AMD hardware and software. Partner with AMD architecture teams to shape and improve future GPU designs. Use data-driven approaches to identify and address performance bottlenecks. Research and prototype novel rendering algorithms and optimizations. Contribute to the development of groundbreaking graphics technologies at AMD. Participate in bring-up and validation of new ASIC and hardware platforms. Debug and resolve rendering issues across a variety of hardware and software configurations. Build and maintain strong technical relationships with industry partners and internal teams. Must Have Skills: Graphics APIs: DirectX 12, Vulkan Shader Languages: HLSL, GLSL Programming: C, C++ 3D Math and Rendering Techniques PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in object-oriented design and programming in C and C++ Strong foundation in 3D math and computer graphics Experience with concurrent programming and threading Familiarity with GPU performance tuning, shader optimization, and rendering pipelines Hands-on experience with modern graphics APIs (e.g., DirectX 12, Vulkan) Experience using tools like debuggers, profilers, and version control systems (Git/GitHub) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and collaboration skills ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent *candidate must be located in Poland to be eligible for consideration #LI-SL2 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
