Position OverviewQinetiQ US is seeking an Graphic Designer/Artist to support a fast paced research and development organization within the Department of Defense (DoD). The Graphic Designer will work within the organizations Director's Action Group developing new graphics, OV-1s, Powerpoint briefing materials and designs as requested.
Responsibilities Design, layout and produce PowerPoint presentations, interactive digital posters, technical illustrations, logos, and promotional itemsCreate new designs from descriptions, back-of-the-envelope drawings and notes, or existing materialsIntegrate dissimilar inputs with varying styles into a unified presentation; ensure design consistencyClean up/reformat/organize content in existing presentations and reports to meet the org level of professionalismApply knowledge of color theory, perspective, composition, and information design to every deliverableMaintain electronic libraries of briefings, clip art, and other marketing resourcesMaintain links to resources on Group or Division webpages, wikis, and file repositoriesDevelop content management guidelines and protocolsEnsure work adheres to organization style guides, branding standards, as well as marking and release requirementsProof-read deliverables for spelling, grammar and punctuationAdvise staff on best practices for producing effective graphics and publication Required Qualifications TS/SCI-Eligible - Currently hold an active TS/SCI or have held an SCI and have been debriefed in the last 24 months; #qinetiqclearedjobBachelors degree in graphic design or similar Minimum of 10 years of experience Proficient in MS PowerPoint, excel and/or other Microsoft productsAdobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be independently motivated.
