_This position is eligible for telework to applicants who reside in Minnesota or a bordering county along the Minnesota state line. Effective June 1, employees living within 50 miles of the office location listed above will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month. This Grants Equity and Transformation Coordinator will increase equity and operationalize an equity-based grants and procurement process for the GEAR Division. This includes examining all aspects of grantmaking, public procurement, and funding processes through the lens of an antiracist mindset. This position will also use data and continuous improvement to review all processes and implement improvements in collaboration with the division director and GEAR team. This position will also work with the GEAR division director, other divisions Aging and Disability Services to identify and implement new funding opportunities that are rooted in equity and access to aging and disability services.
Responsibilities include:
+ Manage, develop, implement, and oversee programmatic oversight of grant funds associated with the GEAR Division including ensuring that all grantees are linguistically and culturally appropriate.
+ Lead the GEAR division in reimagining the grants procurement and contracting process to create an equitable system that is also compliant with all MMB policies and MN Statues, ensuring improved access to funding and increased impact of funds across Minnesota to underserved communities.
+ Be a subject matter expert on equity, with a focus on grants, and will lead the GEAR division in all equity work including internal support of the division.
+ Work in collaboration with other areas and equity staff to institutional equity for both internally and externally to advance the DHS mission of being an antiracist organization.

**Minimum Qualifications**
3 years professional experience with grants and public procurement process. Experience must include the following:
+ Project management, policy development/implementation and quality assurance
+ In depth education on the racist history of the Unties States of America and Minnesota and how it has impacted law, policies, and practices that create inequities throughout the current grant processes
+ Continuous improvement process background
+ Understanding of grant management and public procurement
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Human Services, related field may substitute for 1 year of experience OR Master’s degree in related field may substitute for 2 years of experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of the Department of Human Services’ mission, values, and strategic goals related to person centered planning and cross-cultural competency.
+ Advanced experience with equity assessments
+ Leadership skills sufficient to establish project goals and expectations, anticipate problems, plan contingencies, work with ambiguity, evaluate results, provide focused feedback, direct work, and advise others.
+ Expertise with ADSA policies and procedures
+ Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and/or cultures
