Description We are looking for an experienced Grants and Contracts Manager to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this position, you will play a vital role in managing government and private grants, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the financial and administrative aspects of funding. This role involves close collaboration with various teams to streamline processes and maintain accurate reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Manage government grants and ensure accurate, timely reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Stay informed about regulations and requirements for federal, state, and local funding related to housing and homelessness programs.
• Research and identify new opportunities for government and private funding, preparing and submitting proposals as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop efficient systems for data collection and management.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of grant and contract budgets to ensure compliance with financial and administrative guidelines.
• Assist in tracking program expenses, ensuring financial allocations align with grant budgets.
• Support the preparation and submission of grant applications and reports, including year-end program data.
• Create and maintain budget-to-actual trackers to monitor compliance with grant budgets.
• Contribute to the development of performance analysis and evaluation activities for funding and accreditation purposes.
• Manage reporting, tracking, and compliance for foundation and service contracts. Requirements • Proven experience in managing grants and contracts, including government funding.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems and tools such as ADP, CRM systems, and Confluence.
• Strong knowledge of budget processes, auditing, and financial compliance.
• Ability to analyze and report on financial data using tools like Crystal Reports.
• Experience in preparing detailed financial and programmatic reports.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulations and compliance standards for housing and homelessness funding is preferred.
