Grant Writer – Civil Engineering & Public Infrastructure Western Pennsylvania | Full-Time | Onsite We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to support civil engineering and surveying projects with a strong focus on public infrastructure and community development. This role plays a critical part in securing funding opportunities that benefit municipalities, utilities, and development initiatives. What You’ll Do + Identify and research grant opportunities from local, state, and federal funding sources. + Prepare proposals and applications for infrastructure, utility, and community development projects. + Collaborate with engineering and municipal teams to develop grant applications that align with project goals. + Support municipalities in navigating funding programs (e.g., DOT, EPA, FEMA, USDA, DCNR, etc.). + Communicate complex technical information in clear, persuasive written proposals. What We’re Looking For + Bachelor’s degree in English, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field. + 2+ years of experience in grant writing or funding development (infrastructure/public works preferred). + Knowledge of civil engineering terminology and municipal project lifecycles. + Strong technical writing, research, and organizational skills. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using grant databases/portals (Grants.gov, SAM.gov, or similar). + Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
