From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.

Your Role

Working from Tullamarine airport and Melbourne office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land you will work as part of a team to deliver a first of its kind air traffic management project.

Are you a recent graduate with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality assurance in software engineering? Join our Team as a Graduate Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer and help ensure the functionality and reliability of our cutting-edge software solutions. 

As a V&V Engineer, you will play a critical role in testing and identifying defects, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software. This is an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career in a dynamic and innovative environment. 

Verifying  the  impact  of  System  Engineering  Change  Requests  (ECR's)  and  defining and submitting on time and on  budget,  test  procedures and associated  scenarios to the TL / SEM, in order to verify and validate the system (off-line, simulator and on-line) in the context of Project and or Bids

Carrying  out  verification  and performance  tests  on  time  and  on  budget,  during  partial integration [Integrated Block Builds [IBB] testing]

Carrying out validation tests on time and on budget, during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

Tracking  and  validating  the  Problem  Change  Reports  (PCR’s)  corrective  actions,  in coordination with the other Engineering teams

Recording  the  test  results  and  preparing  the Problem  Change  Reports  (PCR’s)  in  the appropriate databases

Reporting test results

Ability to analyse Customers requirements

Your Experience

Engineering and/or Science (Computer, Engineering, Aerospace) degree and/or interest and understanding in Air Space

Air Traffic Management domain knowledge [Operational Concept]

Clear understanding of Verification & Validation processes [Traceability, Test, Definition, Test Conduct, Requirements management]

Experience in total life cycle of software development including processes and responsibilities at each stage in the cycle

Excellent communications skills including written and verbal English skills

Knowledge in Operating System [UNIX, Linux, Windows. JIRA & Confluence]
