Graduate Sustainability Consultant - Water - 2026 (Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff)

We're looking for enthusiastic and proactive individuals to join our Water **Carbon Management and Sustainability** team as a **Graduate Sustainability Consultant** , in one of our South West offices ( **Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff** ). We have a large and diverse graduate cohort, spread across our offices in the UK and Ireland. You will join our existing cohort of Engineers, Scientists, Data specialists, Environmentalists, Health Safety and Business Management professionals, amongst others. We have a structured graduate programme, where you will learn on the job, work on some amazing projects and be mentored by some of our industries’ leading practitioners. Working mainly in our UK Water sector, where you will be involved in: + Undertaking carbon foot printing and developing low carbon solutions in support of our clients’ Net Zero plans. + Sustainability appraisal, natural capital and social value assessments. + Conducting climate change risk assessments and developing adaptation plans and strategies. + Developing digital approaches to embed sustainability into our wider engineering and environmental services. + Helping develop and assess sustainability targets and maintaining project records. + Clearly communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external teams. + Providing support on wider sustainability and resource efficiency projects. + Attending site visits and client meetings. + Assisting with preparing bids and proposals for new work. + Engaging with wider skills networks across our business to share knowledge and exchange best practices. We will help you to engage with the latest climate change/sustainability legislation, policy and guidance as well as to develop your capabilities in Project Management. **About You** You will have achieved (or currently be working towards) an Honours Degree in Sustainability, Climate, Engineering, Geography, Business, Economics, Environmental Science… or other environmental related degree. Key is your **passion** for climate change, the Net Zero challenge, social value and wider sustainability as demonstrated in your studies or work experience. You will enjoy evaluating options by understanding context and risks, and developing practical solutions that integrate different disciplines and perspectives, in ways that bring real and lasting benefits to communities and the environment. You’ll be motivated and proactive in your work, exhibiting ownership of your workload, and having the desire to make a real difference. You should be able to organise and manage your own activities, dealing effectively with multiple priorities with a structured approach, and able to switch between a variety of dynamic and exciting tasks.
