Job Title Graduate Research Assistant | School of Architecture Agency Prairie View A&M University Department School Of Architecture Proposed Minimum Salary $1,600.00 monthly Job Location Prairie View, Texas Job Type Graduate Assistant Job Description We are seeking highly motivated doctoral students at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) to join an interdisciplinary research team working on a grant-funded project, with the possibility of involvement in future projects. The research focuses on the built environment, social behaviors, health fairness, and health outcomes. This position is ideal for doctoral students who wish to gain practical experience in research design, data collection, data analysis, and the preparation of scholarly reports and publications. Responsibilities: Research: + Conduct thorough literature reviews on the relevant research topics + Assist in designing, distributing, and collecting surveys and other instruments + Support qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis + Draft sections of research reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication + Help organize and document research meetings + Communicate with study participants and coordinate logistics under faculty supervision Publishing: + Assisting with manuscript or grant development and writing + Preparing reports or presentations + Publication support Required Education & Experience: + Applicants must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at Prairie View A&M University. + Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA + For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least six (6) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term. Preferred Education and Experience: + Preference will be given to students in the Psychology or Educational Leadership PhD programs. + Prior research experience—such as conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, or contributing to academic writing—is strongly preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills + Ability to work independently and collaboratively + Familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus + Selected candidates must complete IRB (Institutional Review Board) training as part of research compliance.
