Graduate Geologist

Pennoni is currently seeking a Graduate Geologist to work in our Geotechnical Engineering team while based at our office in Newark, DE office.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitoring soils and earthwork construction. Assist with geotechnical field investigations. Working in the field at building construction sites as a Quality Assurance representative; this involves observing, documenting and reporting on the construction work and performing construction materials testing. Inspecting construction and materials compliance with the drawings and specifications. Materials include reinforced concrete, masonry, soils, earth work, and foundations. Field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar, block, and soils. Communicate and coordinate with the engineers, contractors, and clients. Work construction hours (which may include overtime). Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements:
B.S. in Environmental Geology, Earth Science, Geosciences, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on construction projects is a plus Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, and communicate technical details. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
