As a graduate student in speech-language pathology, the role involves providing supervised clinical care while applying what the student has learned in their coursework. They will help assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication or swallowing disorders, while documenting progress and planning therapy. They are expected to communicate professionally with clients, peers, and team members, and to participate in meetings or trainings as needed. Throughout the placement, they will receive guidance and feedback from a clinical supervisor, follow ethical and professional standards, and work toward completing your required clinical hours. Being organized, open to learning, and dependable are all essential parts of the students responsibilities.
This is an unpaid internship opportunity that is only open to current students. The internship may be able to satisfy course credit if approved by the student's institution of learning.
