4 Year Degree Muskingum University invites applications for a Graduate Assistant in Wrestling. This position is responsible for assisting in the overall coaching and management of the men's wrestling team, at the direction of the head coach.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in all aspects of recruiting prospective student-athletes, including mailings, Front Rush, text/calls, off campus evaluations, and campus visits.   Assist with all practice planning and execution.  Assist the head coach in competition and travel preparation.    Assist the head coach with assigned administrative duties, such as event scheduling, budget management, procurement of equipment, and fundraising.  Assist the head coach with competition preparation.  Assist with conducting pre-season, in-season, and post-season conditioning/lifting, within the guidelines and bylaws of the NCAA Division III and the Ohio Athletic Conference   May be assigned limited teaching opportunities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

Undergraduate degree.  Acceptance or ability to be accepted into Muskingum University Graduate Program.  Strong collegiate background in wrestling.  Ability to collaborate and participate as an active member of the athletic department and the University community.  Good organizational and leadership skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
