Graduate Admissions Director (HEO) **POSITION DETAILS** Queens College of the City University of New York invites applications for a forward-thinking and results-driven Director of Graduate Admissions to lead institution-wide efforts to expand, diversify, and strengthen graduate enrollment. In the context of ambitious institutional goals and a shifting enrollment landscape, the Director will play a pivotal role in advancing graduate recruitment through data-informed strategies, accelerated master’s pathways, and international partnerships. The Director will provide strategic leadership for graduate admissions and collaborate across campus to align enrollment efforts with emerging market demands. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director will oversee all aspects of graduate recruitment and admissions operations. This includes driving strategic planning, building sustainable enrollment pipelines, and ensuring an inclusive and engaging admissions experience for prospective students. In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the CUNY Title Overview, the Director will be responsible for the following campus-specific duties: + Develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive strategic enrollment plan for graduate admissions aligned with institutional priorities, including growth in accelerated master’s programs and expansion into new domestic and international markets. + Drive data-informed recruitment strategies, using market research, trend analysis, and enrollment forecasting tools to identify opportunities, measure performance, and improve yield. + Oversee all graduate admissions operations, ensuring ethical, efficient, and transparent processes, while leveraging technology and CRM platforms to enhance applicant experience and staff productivity. + Design and implement integrated marketing and communication campaigns, including digital outreach, print materials, lead nurturing, campus events, and virtual engagement to attract and convert prospective students. + Act as a strategic advisor to academic departments and graduate program directors to align admissions strategies with program offerings, market demand, and emerging academic opportunities. + Work in close partnership with Enrollment Management leadership and other campus stakeholders to implement recruitment efforts that support the College’s mission, with an emphasis on access, diversity, and student success. + Supervise and support admissions staff, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture committed to service excellence and continuous improvement. + Build institutional visibility and cultivate strong relationships with prospective students, feeder institutions, and external partners by participating in key local and national recruitment events. + Stay current on best practices in graduate admissions, including evolving technologies, visa and immigration policies, and trends in higher education enrollment and international recruitment. + Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of Queens College and the strategic goals of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. **QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor’s degree and eight years’ related experience required. Preferred Qualifications + Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, Public Administration, or a related field preferred. + Progressively responsible experience in graduate admissions, enrollment management, or a closely related area, with a demonstrated ability to lead strategic recruitment initiatives. + Proven track record of increasing graduate enrollment, including planning and executing successful, data-informed recruitment strategies. + Leadership experience in a public, urban higher education institution, with a strong commitment to access, equity, and serving a diverse student population. + Demonstrated success in international student recruitment and managing third-party partnerships or global enrollment pipelines. + Familiarity with accelerated master’s programs, dual-degree pathways, and adult/continuing education markets. + Advanced proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce), data analysis tools, and digital recruitment platforms to support enrollment operations and decision-making. + Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage complex initiatives. + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners. + Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and audience engagement. + Experience working within a large, centralized public university system, with knowledge of higher education management systems and regulatory environments. + The ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, is expected. + Driver’s license is required **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Develops, implements, and manages one or more major admissions and recruiting functions. - Manages overall recruitment and admissions processes - Develops recruiting strategies for the College and/or specific programs or groups and works closely with academic departments, programs, and administrators to coordinate marketing and recruiting - Manages the development and distribution of recruiting materials and communications of all kinds - Manages admissions operations and staff, including coordination with outside organizations and University administration - Oversees department budget including developing detailed proposals to support recruitment and admissions - Evaluates and reports outcomes; uses information in statistical, fiscal, and other reports to make improvements to the recruiting process - Performs related duties as assigned.
