Government Relations Manager LATAM
Innovate high-purity, high-performance chemicals and materials

As a Manager of Government Relations LATAM (Latin America),\nyou will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our government relations\nstrategy in the Latin America region. You will be accountable for building and\nmaintaining relationships with government officials, industry associations, and\nother stakeholders to influence public policy and advocate for Solstice’s\ninterests. Your expertise in government affairs, public policy, and\nrelationship management will be instrumental in driving Solstice’s success in\nthe region.  
In this role, you will have a direct impact on Solstice’s\nbusiness by influencing public policy, assisting business growth, and\nmitigating regulatory risks. You will be accountable for monitoring and\nanalyzing legislative and regulatory developments, engaging with key\nstakeholders, and representing the company’s interests in government affairs.\nYour guidance will be essential in building strong relationships and\npartnerships to advance Solstice’s goals in the Latin America region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop\n and execute the government relations strategy for the Latin America\n region.Build\n and maintain relationships with government officials, industry\n associations, and other stakeholders.
Monitor\n and analyze legislative and regulatory developments in the region.Advocate for incentives or funding opportunities, such as those related to nearshoring or sustainability.Work\n with internal stakeholders to align government relations efforts with\n business objectives.Provide\n guidance and facilitate to business units on government affairs matters.Represent\n Solstice in industry associations and other external forums.Facilitate\n the development and implementation of advocacy campaigns.Engage\n in grassroots and coalition-building activities to advance Solstice’s\n goals.Stay updated with political and economic\ndevelopments in the region.

YOU MUST HAVE

Minimum\n of 8 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a\n related field.Strong\n environmental and industrial safety regulatory expertise in Mexico, as\n well as experience working in conjunction with government agencies such as\n SEMARNAT, PROFEPA and SAT.Experience\n in building and maintaining relationships with government officials and\n industry associations (e.g., CONCAMIN, CANACINTRA, AMCHAM, ANIQ, CEG, CCE,\n etc.)Excellent\n communication and advocacy skills.Strong\n thoughtful and strategic thinking abilities.Strong\n knowledge of Mercosur, Alianza del Pacífico, and bilateral trade\n agreements.Fluency\n in Spanish and English (fluency in Portuguese is a plus).

WE VALUE

Bachelor’s\n degree in political science, International Relations, Law, or a related\n field (Master's degree preferred).Experience\n in government relations in the Latin America region.Knowledge\n of public policy issues and regulatory frameworks in the region.Experience\n in managing government relations programs and campaigns.Ability\n to navigate complex political and regulatory environments.Strong\n negotiation and influencing skills.Ability\n to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with stakeholders at all\n levels.Strong\n business acumen and insight of industry and markets.Ability to travel as needed.

This position is\n intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice\n Advanced Materials when the separation occurs.  This is expected to\n occur in late 2025 or early 2026.
