As a Government Relations Analyst, you will provide support in coordinating daily import-export activities by harmoniously implementing existing local and European legislation impacting the organization. You will create links between the organization and government authorities, ensuring that the organization understands the current regulations and their impact on the company's Import-Export practices.

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Maintains continuous and close contact with government authorities in the field of activity: Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Authority for Export Control (ANCEX), National Commission for the Control of Nuclear Activities (CNCAN), General Customs Directorate (as well as its regional and local offices), etc.;
+ Acts as a single point of contact in the relationship between Business Units and Emerson SRL with Government Authorities;
+ Provides support in classifying new products, components, manufacturing changes to products, and the route of products and/or components;
+ Supports the development and submission of export license applications for dual-use products to the National Authority for Export Control;
+ Assists in reviewing and documenting monthly due diligence assessment processes and, in general, all processes involving transaction control mechanisms;
+ Supports in monitoring, coordinating, verifying, and optimizing all transport orders for which it is responsible; informs stakeholders about the status of ongoing deliveries;
+ Gathers information and prepares the file for Certificate of Origin issuance requests, in close collaboration with related departments (ITC, Engineering, Supply Chain);
+ Submits application files to the relevant Chambers of Commerce for the issuance of Certificates of Origin; maintains contact with Chambers of Commerce as an authorized person and provides any other supporting documentation requested by the Chamber;
+ Prepares or provides support in preparing Self-Assessment Forms requested by customs offices for exports carried out by Emerson SRL, in accordance with current legislation;
+ Issues Supplier Declarations requested by the Export team for transactions where they are necessary;
+ Collaborates closely with procurement specialists, engineers, and customer relations representatives;
+ Keeps up-to-date documentation on all types of documents involved in import-export operations, international rules regarding the transport of goods, delivery conditions, and Romanian/international customs legislation;
+ Provides support in determining the non-preferential origin of products;
+ Actively participates in departmental meetings;
+ Adopts behavior that consistently promotes the company's image and interests;
+ Gets involved in resolving crisis situations that may affect the company and is constantly concerned with improving work;

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ University degree (preferably in Law, International Relations, Public Administration, or similar fields)
+ English language skills - B2 level (written and spoken)
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
+ Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills – this role involves handling official documentation
+ Clear communication skills, both written and verbal – including the ability to interact professionally with public authorities
+ Willingness to learn commercial and legislative procedures (e.g. customs regulations, export control, certificate of origin processes)
+ Analytical approach and a proactive attitude in problem solving.
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Prior experience working with or within government authorities (e.g. Customs, ANAF, Chambers of Commerce, export control agencies)
+ Experience in NGOs, legal departments, or administrative roles involving regulated documentation or government contacts
+ Familiarity with documents such as Certificates of Origin, Supplier Declarations, or customs forms
+ Understanding of Romanian and/or international trade regulations related to import-export
+ Ability to remain calm, professional during urgent communications with external bodies
+ Interest in long-term development within a niche, specialized, and stable domain
