What you'll do We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Government Property Administrator to join our dynamic team in Duluth, GA! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our Duluth office and the flexibility of remote work. As a Property Administrator at Viasat, you'll play a crucial role in On-site and Off-site Material Control, supporting our Manufacturing, Operations, and Engineering departments. You will ensure Government program compliance by managing and updating process control documents, overseeing inventory and tracking of Government-owned materials, and coordinating with auditors. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining material data in Viasat's systems, assisting with contract closeouts and loss reporting, and ensuring adherence to FAR 52.245-1 and internal timelines. Strong organizational skills are key as you'll manage improvement projects, monitor inventory, and ensure proper material handling. The day-to-day Maintain property record databases for uniquely identified property, summary records, subcontractor property, excess property and disposed property. Prepare various property reports upon request such as government inventory and government property status. Resolve complex issues with sound judgment while complying with government regulations and corporate policies. Participate in government property related meetings. Work closely with our Lab Custodians to maintain proper control of Property in labs. Build relationships with the Program Managers to stay on top of new contracts, modifications and other changes. Be a Subject Matter Expert for Property to help with the implementation of a Contract Lifecycle Management. Identify and execute tagging requirements. Identify and drive to implement better tools for Property Management to increase efficiency and compliance. Interface with Materials team, Program Management and Contracts regarding Government Property requirements. Support the Compliance Leader during regular Self-Assessment audits. Assist in documentation of gains/losses including the valuation of the changes. What you'll need 5+ years in a Government Property Administration role or related field as a government. contractor in a manufacturing environment. 3 years’ experience basic inventory management and/or contract review. Bachelors in Supply Chain, Program Management or another related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. Strong background in Government Property Closeout, GFM, GFE processes and procedures. Proficient with MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and Word. A solid knowledge of the requirements to FAR52.245-1, DFAR 252.232-7005 and other Property Related regulations. Self-starter who is accountable for their responsibilities and projects. NPMA CPPA certified or willing and able to become certified within 18 months of being hired. Excellent communication skills when interacting with programs, stakeholders, government administrators and customers. US Government Position. US Citizenship Required. Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. What will help you on the job Experience in an ERP environment with super user responsibilities. Experience in 6-Sigma or other Lean practice. Salary range $91,500.00 - $148,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $113,500.00- $170,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
