Position Description and Primary Responsibilities:
Morgan Stanley is seeking a strong candidate for its Governance, Standards, and Training function within our Budapest NFR Oversight Governance team (“NFROG”). This position will report to the Head of NFROG and is critical in ensuring the consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Firm’s Legal and Compliance (“LCD”) and NFR Oversight’s Testing and Monitoring activities by driving governance frameworks, owning and maintaining policies and procedures, and overseeing training initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Standards, Methodology, and Governance:
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure consistent and risk-based approach to NFR Oversight, and that activities align with regulatory expectations and internal policiesChallenge the status quo, optimize, and enhance methodologies by incorporating industry best practices, innovative solutions, regulatory guidance, and firmwide risk assessment processesPartner with QA, Technology, and Reporting teams, as necessary, to drive consistency and standardizationSupport the development and execution of the annual Oversight plan, ensuring risk-based coverage and coordination across LCD and NFR teamsFacilitate governance forums, committees, and working groups to enhance collaboration and oversight. Act as a central liaison for senior management and internal stakeholders regarding NFR Oversight governanceFlexibility to support broader team deliverablesTraining and Development:
Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for NFR Oversight professionals to ensure consistent application of policies and proceduresDevelop onboarding materials and ongoing learning initiatives to support skill development and communication of best practicesFoster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying training gaps and implementing targeted solutionsSkills Required:
At least 4 years’ relevant experience in Internal Audit, External Audit or Compliance/Non-Financial Risk Testing related fields within a global organization (over areas such as: 1st Line of Defense business units, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, and / or Technology Risk)Experience of creating and maintaining policy and procedure documentationGood understanding of testing and monitoring methodologies, regulatory expectations, and risk management frameworksDetail oriented with very strong written and verbal communication skills, including hosting meetings and training sessionsPossess professional maturity and confidence in communicating results with staff, peers and management, including dealing with challenges and disagreementsProactive collaborative mindsetAbility to handle large workload with strong organizational and planning skillsProficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)#LI-HYBRID #LI-RV1 #BPGC
