Gov Contracts Property Generalist
**Job Description Summary** The Government Property (GP) Subcontractor Team Generalist applies Lean principles to ensure compliance with all applicable GP Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) (e.g. FAR 52.245-1), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) (e.g. DFARS 252.245-7003), company policies, and procedures. This team is responsible for achieving functional and business objectives related to GP assets at subcontractor locations. In this role, you will help drive compliant, efficient, and timely execution of GP objectives, supporting internal and external audits, and process improvement initiatives. This role provides GP functional support throughout the lifecycle of government contracts, from initial contract pre-award to final property closeout and disposition. This role may involve collaboration with key stakeholders, including Sourcing, DCMA/Customer, Supply Chain, Engineering, Programs, and Subcontractors. Government Property includes special tooling, materials, equipment, special test equipment, and engine hardware purchased, leased, or furnished by the government, or acquired specifically to fulfill government contract requirements. It excludes real estate, intellectual property, and software. **Job Description** Essential Responsibilities + Act as a change agent for business processes related to Government Property (GP) management at subcontractor and affiliate sites, driving improvements and compliance. + Provide assistance with the management of the GP subcontractor and affiliate risk assessment and surveillance audit process to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. + Ensure compliance with GP Management System requirements, including acquisition, receiving, records, identification, movement, physical inventory, subcontractor control, reports, relief of stewardship, loss reporting, utilization, declaration of excess, maintenance, and contract closeout activities. + Support the GP Organization in responding to DCMA property management system audits (PMSA) and performing internal contractor self-assessments (CSA) for assets or processes involving subcontractors and affiliate sites. + Assist in corrective action processes, including root cause investigations, corrective action plan development, and execution of corrective actions. + Support the Sourcing Compliance team in conducting limited desktop surveys and audits. + Maintain effective working relationships and communications with GP leadership, internal peers, and stakeholders to seamlessly execute organizational objectives and activities. + Assist in reviewing and updating GP processes to ensure efficiency and compliance, while supporting the development of long-term strategy and planning for the GP organization. + Act as a team player, upholding the highest standards of personal integrity and fostering a compliance-oriented and customer service mindset within team processes. + Travel up to 15% as required to support GP-related activities. Qualifications/Requirements + Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. + Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sourcing, government contracts, government property management, asset management, quality, program/project management, or a related field within manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environments. + Conditions: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening. Desired Characteristics + Knowledge of US Government Procurement or Property regulations or demonstrated aptitude to learn these requirements. + Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry and familiarity with US Government contracts. + Basic understanding of manufacturing operations and contracting/program management organizations, including interrelated support systems such as Planning, Engineering, Quality, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Shipping/Receiving. + Working knowledge or aptitude to learn Sourcing processes, including acquisition and receiving processes for GP, including materials and tooling. + Working knowledge or aptitude to learn and apply Lean principles, including standard work and process improvements. + Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve operational/process issues and work across organizational boundaries. + Demonstrated ability to support multiple short- and long-term projects to support business objectives in matrixed operational environments (e.g., supply chain, engineering). + Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, for interfacing and coordinating with government representatives, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. + Proficiency with MS Office Suite and aptitude to learn and utilize other software programs such as IMPACT, Oracle, Clarity, Spotfire, etc. + National Property Management Association (NPMA) certifications such as CPPS, CPPA, or CPPM are valued. The base pay range for this position pay range is $108,900.00 - 145,400.00USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on August 10, 2025.
