Google Cloud relational database engineer is sought to design, implement, and manage database systems on the Google Cloud Platform. This role requires expertise in relational database technologies (Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, AlloyDB for PostgreSQL), cloud-native architecture, and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. A strong background in SQL and experience with database migrations, data modeling, and performance optimization are also essential.
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field Minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience 5 years of experience database administration or engineering. Strong knowledge in relational database principles, GCP relational databases like Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL for SQL Server, Cloud Spanner and AlloyDB for PostgreSQL. SQL Server Database Engineering, part of Hosting Engineering department involves engineering new versions of SQL Server Database, evaluate security patches, provide L3 support, EAA, HIR etc. Resolve issues in SQL Server Reporting Services, Integration Services, Analytical Services Research and engineering of features such as installation, configuration, monitoring, security, etc. for SQL Server database, so that it can be deployed in a standard method across the Enterprise Design and engineer SQL Server database with other infrastructure technologies like backup tool, monitoring tool, O.S. Configuration, application interface, etc. Provide third level support, troubleshoot and problem solving to SQL Operations DBA Experience with architecting and engineering of High Availability and Disaster Recovery solution for SQL Server Experience with Microsoft Azure services and other DBMS technologies such as Oracle Inter-personnel skills working with other team members in same and across organizationDesign and Implementation:
