 What this job involves

This position is critical to maintaining sanitary conditions in controlled biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments. The role requires strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), established cleaning policies and procedures to maintain compliance with quality standards and FDA regulations. You will play a vital role in ensuring sanitary conditions of controlled areas are maintained to allow for the safe manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) must be followed and strictly enforced to ensure acceptable environmental monitoring results of the cleaned GMP environment are maintained. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with Day, Swing, Grave, and Weekend shifts available.
 

What your day-to-day will look likePerform sanitization and cleaning per governing SOPs in GMP spaces using ceiling mops, wall mops, floor mops, and wipersVerify that proper sanitization disinfectant rotation is followed and that the correct disinfectant is used for each cleaning assignmentStrictly follow Standard Operating Procedures at all timesComplete required GMP documentation to ensure records are properly and accurately maintained with emphasis on Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)Dispose of waste from GMP manufacturing process area waste receptacles dailyOrganize and maintain sanitization supply areasParticipate in required training on the use of sanitization disinfectants and equipmentFollow proper solvent handling procedures (EHS) and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocolsWork fully gowned including head covering, facemask, gloves, plant shoes, safety glasses/goggles and/or face shield for majority of workdayMaintain cleanliness in ancillary support spaces adjacent to GMP areasPerform related duties as assigned
 Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to read, write, and understand documentation in EnglishComputer experienceExcellent attention to detailExcellent attendance recordAbility to follow work instructions preciselyAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingAbility to work in a team environment and independentlyMust join Local SEIU within 90 daysPhysical ability to handle extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, climbing, and lifting equipment/materials up to 50 poundsWillingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as requiredAbility to work without makeup, nail polish, and/or jewelry in GMP process areas
 Preferred QualificationsPrior experience cleaning in a biopharmaceutical GMP controlled environmentKnowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Experience with sanitization disinfectants and equipmentBackground in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments

Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday; 430a-1p or 6a-230p; Dependent on the business site needsCompensation: $21.50/hr-24/hr.; DOE

Estimated total compensation for this position:

44,720.00 – 49,920.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
