Position: Gluing Offsider Shifts Available: Day Shift 6:00 AM - 2:23PM / Monday to Friday (Full-time) Rate: $26.61 Location: North Richmond, NSW, Australia Role Purpose: The purpose / objective of this position is to assist the Gluing operator to achieve high quality results in the conversion of printed and cut finished cartons. The role will support the day-to-day delivery of production on the line in either feeding, packing or palletizing. ACCOUNTABILITIES * Assist Operator with the setup of the machine to the standard required in preparation for the conversion or embellishment (make ready) * Assess product for meeting quality standards, undertake quality checks * Assist the Operator with the gluing machine to ensure quality and productivity requirements are met * Conduct routine maintenance with the operator in accordance with the Daily Equipment Care checklist * Review workload with the operator to ensure all preparation work is managed in a timely manner to ensure continuous running of the machine * Responsible for housekeeping within department in accordance with GMP Policy and Audits. * Assist in cross training other staff where applicable * Coordinate and liaise with operator to ensure jobs are prepped SKILLS: * Mechanical aptitude * Attention to detail * Problem solving * Ability to read technical drawings (Knife/Glue Line) * Ability to communicate effectively KNOWLEDGE: * Understand basic machine function * Knowledge of standards * Knowledge of processes EXPERIENCE: * 1+ years\u2019 experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment. * Physically fit and able. ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY: All employees must be aware and comply to all legislation and standards that impacts their work area including: * Food Safety - ensure compliance with all the critical control point checks for food safety or product quality checks as required under HACCP procedures including adherence to high levels of GMP/ Housekeeping; and * Environmental compliance - Actively participate in environment improvement programs, projects and training whilst always reporting incidents or hazards to your supervisor immediately.
