Global Workforce Management Business Advisor

Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio. **Your role and responsibilities** Advise Global Service Line Leaders on requests for new Job Roles, Specialties, and Skills, ensuring adherence to taxonomy standards, providing context and insights on workforce implications, and ensuring agreement amongst leaders on where skills will reside across practices. Leveraging AI tools, proactively review Job Role Specialties and Skills and make data driven recommendations to Global Service Line Leaders for emerging skills to add to and declining skills to retire from the taxonomy. Partner with HR, Talent, and L&K on programs related to Job Roles and Skills to ensure consistency and alignment with the taxonomy Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the skills taxonomy by leveraging AI and automation, expanding knowledge of industry standards and competitor best practices, and providing data-driven insights to anticipate skill gaps and address emerging skill needs. Advise Offering Leaders on workforce strategy and work to align their target Skills Bill of Material (BoM). Ensure that market sourcing strategies and solutioning are aligned to the global skills BoM. For the annual Fall Plan cycle, work with Service Line Leaders to translate workforce strategy to Geography and Center-specific workforce targets. Skills Taxonomy & Workforce Architecture * Skills Taxonomy Design - Expertise in structuring and categorizing job roles, specialties, and skills aligned with business and industry standards. * Workforce Architecture - Ability to understand and interpret job architectures, including levels, families, and career pathways. * Job Role Modeling - Skill in defining, evaluating, and validating job roles and their associated skills and responsibilities. Governance & Standards Management * Standards Development & Enforcement - Capability to ensure adherence to global taxonomy frameworks, principles, and naming conventions. * Lifecycle Management - Skill in managing the full lifecycle of skills—from addition and usage to deprecation and retirement. * Policy Alignment - Ensuring that taxonomy design aligns with broader workforce, learning, and talent strategies. Data & AI-Driven Insights * Skills Analytics & Insights - Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret trends in skills data (e.g., adoption, demand, obsolescence). * AI-Driven Workforce Intelligence - Proficiency in using AI and ML tools (like skill graphing, natural language processing) for taxonomy maintenance. * Data Storytelling - Skill in presenting complex, data-driven insights in an accessible, actionable way for senior leaders. Change Enablement & Collaboration * Cross-Functional Collaboration - Ability to co-create and align across HR, Talent, Learning & Knowledge (L&K), and business functions. * Change Management - Understanding of how to guide adoption of new skills frameworks and manage impacts on people and processes. * Program & Governance Alignment - Capability to embed taxonomy standards into organizational processes and technologies. Innovation & Continuous Improvement * Market Scanning & Competitive Intelligence - Ability to research and apply industry trends, competitor practices, and innovations in skills strategy. * Process Improvement - Drive innovation in taxonomy governance, tooling, and lifecycle management. * Tech-Enabled Innovation - Skill in identifying and applying AI, automation, or third-party platforms to improve scalability and accuracy. Communication & Influence * Executive Communication - Ability to clearly present findings, proposals, and recommendations to senior stakeholders. * Negotiation & Influence - Ability to resolve disputes and gain alignment on taxonomy ownership and design decisions. * Narrative Development - Ability to craft compelling rationales for taxonomy decisions, supported by data and insights.
