About the role

Our Supply Chain team, composed of 7 people, is integrated in the SCP department and focuses on managing and integrating the different functions of the supply chain at a regional level in collaboration with Customer Service and the Commercial Team. As a Global Trade & Logistics Specialist, you will work on the import and export process, supporting the different areas of the organization, aligned with the commercial strategy, respecting legal requirements and guaranteeing operational excellence in terms of costs and times. You will be accountable for: Following up import or export process in different types of logistics: land (truck, rail), sea (FCL, LCL, bulk), air imports (LCL, samples). Reviewing paperwork of shipments and complete Bill of Lading and/or Certificate of Origin for shipment to import or export transport. Notifying the corresponding areas of incoming goods with their respective costing for entry into ERP SAP and follow up with logistics providers to ensure the correct and timely delivery of service invoices. Coordinating operational meetings for the import of bulk vessels with their respective tracking until delivery to the warehouse. Keeping the Solvay Mexicana fraction catalog and import permits update. Besides following up on requirements from Solvay's Global Trade area (reports, legal inquiries, submission of files, conduct preventive, internal or regulatory audits, Letters of Declaration of Origin, among others). Creating import and export time and cost KPIs. We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

 

About you

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Foreign Trade or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of direct experience in import & export logistics. Relevant work experience in Import & Export Logistics. Competencies: Extensive knowledge of railway operations, especially the challenges of coordinating with multiple companies. Advanced English proficiency. Strong understanding of customs regulations and foreign trade. Knowledge of international logistics for chemical products. Behaviors: Strong organizational skills and the ability to execute detailed follow-up. Excels in teamwork and possesses strong negotiation and communication skills. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to business needs, effectively prioritizing tasks. A skilled problem-solver, capable of addressing challenges strategically.

 

About the pay and benefits

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Mexico base pay reasonably expected for this role is $35,000.00 to $37,000.00, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
