Global Technical Marketing & Communications Lead – DCFlex Initiative
**Job Title:** Global Technical Marketing & Communications Lead – DCFlex Initiative **Location:** Remote/Home Based **Job Summary and Description:** EPRI is seeking a dynamic, articulate, and technically savvy professional to lead global promotion and stakeholder engagement for the **DCFlex initiative** pioneering effort to integrate data centers into the evolving energy ecosystem as active participants in grid flexibility and services. This individual will serve as the external face of DCFlex, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the AI, data center, and energy sectors. The ideal candidate will bridge technical insight with compelling communication, helping to elevate DCFlex’s visibility and impact globally. **Key Responsibilities:** **Strategic Communication & Outreach** + Develop and execute a global communication strategy to promote DCFlex across diverse economies and stakeholders. + Represent DCFlex at conferences, webinars, and industry forums, tailoring messaging for technical, executive, and non-technical audiences. + Write and publish high-quality articles, thought leadership pieces, and case studies in industry publications. + Deliver compelling presentations and talks with confidence and clarity to audiences of all sizes. **Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development** + Build and manage relationships with organizations beyond traditional electric utilities, including hyperscalers, AI infrastructure providers, and data center operators. + Liaise with other industry associations and consortia working on data center sustainability, energy integration, and digital infrastructure. + Engage effectively at both the **C-suite level** and with general audiences to promote DCFlex’s mission and value. + Facilitate partnerships that advance DCFlex goals and create mutual value. + Lead and manage an external stakeholder group to gather insights and feedback, and channel that value back to DCFlex members. **Internal Collaboration & Support** + Support EPRI’s member and technical services teams in pitching DCFlex to new members and partners. + Translate complex technical insights into digestible, actionable content for broader audiences. + Act as a conduit between technical teams and external stakeholders, ensuring two-way knowledge flow. **Content Creation & Knowledge Dissemination** + Create compelling, bite-sized content that communicates DCFlex’s value proposition to audiences unfamiliar with EPRI. + Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate content development, research, and learning. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, strategic communications, or stakeholder engagement in energy, data center, or AI-related sectors. **Ideal Candidate:** + Demonstrated knowledge of both **data center powering infrastructure** and **electric utility grid operations and planning** . + Strong understanding of the concept of flexibility/grid services. + Demonstrated excellence in **public speaking** and delivering presentations to diverse audiences. + Proven ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and persuasively. + Experience working with or within data center ecosystems and/or AI infrastructure environments. + Demonstrated success in building partnerships and managing external stakeholder groups. + High emotional intelligence (EQ) and interpersonal skills to navigate diverse internal and external relationships. + Proficiency in using generative AI tools for research, content creation, and learning. **Success Criteria:** + Increased global visibility of DCFlex and EPRI across forums, publications, and industry events. + Growth in DCFlex membership and partnerships across non-traditional ecosystems. + Effective two-way communication between technical teams and external stakeholders. + High-quality, impactful content that resonates with diverse audiences The salary range for this position is $208,000 USD to $216,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan. This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay). EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
