Global Strategic Account Director Equinor

You will play a key role in driving global growth and nurturing Emerson’s relationships with key customers headquartered in the Nordics region, including Equinor, AkerBP, and Yara. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that deepen customer engagement and ensure Emerson is recognized as the automation supplier of choice. Additionally, you will organize, manage, and coordinate a team to build strong customer relationships and provide business insights to deliver exceptional customer value.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Strategic Leadership & Growth: develop a clear vision for the customer-supplier alliance, identifies growth opportunities, and aligns Emerson’s resources to make customer operations more efficient, more sustainable and safer. Areas of focus include projects within both core as well as emerging spaces (examples: Drilling & Well, Renewables, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture). Account Strategy & Execution: own the development and implementation of strategic account and site plans, ensuring alignment with customer business objectives while uncovering new opportunities to position Emerson as the preferred solutions partner. Recommend price models and framework that fits the future business outlook and enables Emerson to capture maximum orders and profitability and facilitate the formation of agreements by discerning the win/win for both parties. Areas of focus include Industrial Software, DCS / MES, Valve and Measurement Instrumentation including both subsea and topside. Customer Relationship Management: build and nurture deep, multi-level relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and executive contacts to strengthen teamwork and drive long-term partnerships. Understand customer operations, strategic drivers, and success factors to create exceptional customer value. Influence & Engagement: communicate effectively across cultural and interpersonal boundaries, proactively seeking customer feedback, driving alignment, and positioning Emerson as a trusted advisor through innovation, reliability, and strategic vision. CAPEX analysis: ensure early project identification and qualification to ensure an effective handoff to the Global Project Pursuit Process. Liaise for specific Strategic Account opportunities with the project pursuit teams on a regular basis.

For This Role, You Will Need:

University degree in Engineering or technical field, or equivalent experience  Significant experience of sales leadership, account management or related industry marketing, developing and implementing Strategic Plans Good understanding of industrial automation environment, especially Oil & Gas / Energy industry Proficiency in English and Norwegian language Willingness to extensively travel
