Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Global Sourcing Manager - Logistics to join our team in Perrysburg, United States, on a hybrid basis. In this pivotal role, you will lead our global sourcing efforts for logistics services, driving cost efficiencies and optimizing our supply chain operations worldwide.
Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for logistics services, aligning with organizational goals and objectivesManage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with global logistics providers to ensure optimal service levels and cost-effectivenessAnalyze market trends, pricing, and service offerings to identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvementLead cross-functional teams in the evaluation and selection of logistics partners across different regionsOversee the implementation of logistics projects and initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing operationsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective sourcing strategiesMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure vendor compliance and continuous improvementStay current with international trade regulations and customs requirements, ensuring compliance across all logistics operationsDevelop and maintain a risk management framework for the global logistics networkUtilize data analytics to drive decision-making and present recommendations to senior leadershipQualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fieldExtensive of experience in global sourcing, procurement, category management or logistics management rolesProven track record of successful cost reduction initiatives and supply chain optimizationExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insightsProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated experience in contract negotiation and vendor management on a global scaleStrong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and adapt to changing prioritiesExperience in a multinational manufacturing organisation or similar Additional InformationWhat we offer at O-I:
Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is targeted to be between $111,090 - $138,860 USD. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
