Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a dedicated Global Sourcing Manager, to lead the development and implementation of the global procurement strategy specifically focused on Hydraulic Power Units. As a crucial member of our international procurement team, you will have the opportunity to impact our supplier relationships by fostering collaborations that drive long-term value and ensuring the continuity of supply while balancing cost competitiveness and reliability across various business units.

This role will be based in Italy, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 30% to engage with suppliers and stakeholders globally

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

Develop and execute supplier strategies in alignment with global objectives, Lead value based negotiations and long term agreements with suppliers, Build and optimize our supplier base with a focus on growth, Mitigate supply chain risk and manage performance, capacity and cost challenges, Support to create continuous cost savings pipeline  for technical and sourcing levers by understanding category/sourcing trends, Coordinate activities between a global team  to achieve the best cost, quality and deliver sourcing decisions, Work with suppliers, internal customers, management and stakeholders to identify, visualize and mitigating potential risks for supply and project execution. The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

Bachelor´s or master’s degree in engineering, business management or equivalent is required, 5+ years’ experience with strategic sourcing in a manufacturing environment, Ability to create relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple functions (R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain), Outstanding communication and cooperation skills, Experience in project management, Proactive mindset with result-driven approach.
