This leader will drive innovation and transformation across global lab-based research environments, ensuring optimal integration of digital tools, data science, and automation technologies. The ideal candidate will serve as the crucial bridge between laboratory scientists, business technology (IT), and data science functions, aligning cutting-edge digital solutions with scientific needs across international sites to accelerate discovery and development.
We are seeking a leader who is adept in:
Strategic Leadership:
+ Develop and execute a multi-year digital transformation roadmap for PSTS lab operations in alignment with scientific goals and enterprise digital strategy.
+ Serve as a thought leader on digital innovation in lab environments, including AI/ML integration, lab automation, ELN/LIMS enhancements, and digital workflows.
+ Influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across R&D, business technology (IT), and data science functions to ensure aligned priorities and investment decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
+ Act as a primary liaison between lab-based scientists and business technology (IT)/data science teams to ensure user-centric design and implementation of digital solutions for internal and externalized PSTS lab-based activities.
+ Translate scientific needs into technical requirements and ensure digital tools are fit-for-purpose and scalable across PSTS functions and all scientific modalities.
+ Partner with data science teams to enable efficient data capture, curation, and analytics capabilities in the lab setting.
Change Management & Enablement:
+ Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of new digital tools, platforms, and ways of working within the lab community.
+ Develop training, communication, and engagement strategies to support digital capability development and culture shift across R&D.
+ Continuously assess digital maturity and user feedback to improve system usability, compliance, and scientific impact.
Program Management & Governance:
+ Oversee a portfolio of digital projects within PSTS, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with measurable business value.
+ Support governance frameworks to prioritize initiatives, manage risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory and data integrity requirements.
+ Ensure digital solutions are aligned with international regulatory standards and support localization needs where applicable.
+ Drive KPIs and metrics to assess progress, adoption, and value realization of digital initiatives.

+ Strong grasp of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and data management in a regulated environment (GxP, FAIR principles).
+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
+ Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
+ Experience with agile methodologies, design thinking, or product management approaches is highly desirable.
+ The overall background of experience and education should be sufficient to allow performance of the job requirements listed.
+ 5+ years of leadership experience in digital transformation, business-IT liaison roles, or lab informatics program delivery is preferred.
+ Familiarity with data science tools and concepts, such as machine learning, lab analytics, and digital twins in a scientific context is preferred.
