Global Security Operations Center Specialist
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding Bayer’s global operations by serving as the primary point of contact for crisis situations, life safety emergencies, security incidents, employee assistance, media inquiries, and consumer concerns.
This position is essential in ensuring the safety and security of all Bayer employees and assets while providing timely and effective support during incidents.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collect and assess relevant information during crisis situations, ensuring timely communication to Corporate Global Security leaders and stakeholders; provide ongoing support throughout the incident lifecycle;Utilize and manage video management and detection systems to maintain situational awareness, overseeing security, fire, access control, HVAC, mass notification, and vendor intelligence systems;Conduct Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) monitoring and reporting to identify and assess potential threats using advanced intelligence tools;Provide direct support to Bayer employees during business travel crises, including emergency notifications, well-being checks, and general support guidance;Monitor Bayer’s supply chain for signs of theft, delays, or disruptions, contributing to global investigations of criminal activities;Identify and initiate appropriate responses based on console alerts or events, ensuring effective communication and coordination in line with established protocols;Manage national and international communications through various channels, ensuring timely alerts and resource deployment;Perform activity and incident entry, triage, and retrieval using the security data management tool for accurate documentation;Collaborate with other company security operations centers worldwide to ensure cohesive responses to significant events.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
High school diploma/GED and a minimum of two years of police, fire, or security operations center experience, which may be from private, public, or military sectors;Demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of stakeholder groups and provide executive-level briefings as necessary;Experience in preparing clear and succinct written communications;Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Access;Ability to work under pressure in stressful, high-profile, sensitive, and life-threatening situations;Understanding of security concepts and theories;Ability to multitask and listen to directions or information while typing entries into a report application.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $55,177.60 - $82,766.40. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
