SAP Project Manager

As the SAP Project Manager in our Global (Tech) PMO team, you will be responsible for delivering strategy-aligned, (inter) departmental projects within the agreed performance targets for time, costs and quality. You will maximize benefits and mitigate risks, utilizing the tools, methodology and best practices available within ASICS to successfully deliver projects.

How you will help us:

Based in our Hoofddorp headquarters and reporting to the Senior Director of Program Management, as part of the role you will:

Own project planning. You will include all necessary departments and business stakeholders at various levels of seniority to define project objectives, scope, and potential risks and complete the required planning documentation.

Effectively manage medium-to-large scale projects. You will prepare and maintain project plans, manage the production of required project deliverables, mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure actual budget, schedule, and quality are in line with the project plan.

Manage project resources You will coordinate project team members on task prioritization, supporting them by facilitate process analysis and reengineering workshops and requesting resources from Delivery Leads as necessary.

Successfully close projects and ensure a smooth handover. You will prepare project signoff documents, close a project together with project members and the Steering Committee, and ensure a smooth handover of the project to ‘business as usual’ operations including a support plan. Proactively communicate project status to stakeholders. You will provide central planning support and identify any support and advice required for the management, planning, monitoring, and control of the project and proactively report potential issues, risks, and their impact to project stakeholders.

Contribute to the growth of Project Management Methods and Tools. You will actively promote the PMO department within our global organization, support the strategic direction of PMO, and champion continuous improvement of methods, processes, and tools used by our team.

What we are looking for:

Solid SAP Project Management Experience.  You have at least 5 years of experience in project management,  preferably having worked on SAP or other ERP related projects in the Retail, Sporting Goods or Fashion industry.

Strong knowledge of PM methodologies and tooling. You have experience with Process Analysis and/or Business Process Reengineering and a proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large cross-functional projects, having used PM methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2) and had exposure to SCRUM/agile ways of working.

Commitment to project management best practices. You have working experience with project planning, resource management, risk mitigation, issue management, end-user testing and project quality controls and are able to effectively engage IT development staff and business stakeholders.

Excellent organizational skills in a global context. You are able to work in a constantly evolving global environment, showing cultural sensitivity to all members or our highly international global team.
