This Position reports to:
Global BL Manager - Low Voltage System
ABB is seeking a driven and experienced Global Sales Manager to drive growth in the Water & Wastewater segment within our Low Voltage System Drives business. In this global role, you’ll focus on large projects and strategic accounts – particularly EPCs and OEMs – while working closely with ABB’s Local Sales Units to map opportunities, drive sales execution, and increase ABB’s market share. You'll combine deep domain knowledge with strategic insight to strengthen ABB’s leadership in sustainable water and wastewater solutions.
The work model for the role is: hybrid ; travelling is required up to 30-50% for this position.
Your role & responsibilities:
Drive Sales Growth: Develop and execute a global sales plan, prioritize key accounts, and deliver profitable growth in the water & wastewater segment
Leverage Market Expertise: Apply application knowledge to support local teams, enhance customer interactions, and build technical credibility
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Local Sales Units to drive sales initiatives in collaboration with other division and business line teams
Customer & Market Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understand customer needs, and tailor solutions and business models accordingly
Qualifications for the role:
Education & Language: Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is advantageous; fluent in English—other languages a plus
Industry Sales Experience: Extensive proven track record in international sales or business development within the water & wastewater sector
Technical Knowledge: Strong general technical understanding, experience with electric motors or Variable Speed Drives is a plus
Business Skills: Strong commercial acumen, communication, and influencing skills
