How you’ll make an impact by
You define and implement the global EPlan rollout strategy, specifically tailored to support the high degree of customization inherent in our medium voltage switchgear order engineering, and serve as the primary domain expert for EPlan Electric P8 and other relevant EPlan modules, e.g., Pro Panel, DataPortal, eBuildDesigner, with a strong emphasis on their application for variant management, macro technology, and automated project generation for customized switchgear designs. You develop and implement global EPlan standards, templates, libraries, and best practices tailored for our components, protection schemes, and control logic, ensuring consistency and quality across all sites for specific designs. You define and lead the global EPlan master data strategy, including a comprehensive part database for medium voltage components, intelligent macros, and symbol libraries that facilitate rapid configuration and generation of outstanding customer projects. You identify and implement opportunities for EPlan to integrate with other enterprise systems, e.g., CRM, ERP, PLM/PDM, Sales Configurators, and MES, to build a seamless data flow from customer order to engineering and manufacturing of customized switchgears. You design, develop, and deliver comprehensive EPlan training programs for various user groups, specifically focusing on efficient creation and modification of customer-specific projects, utilization of macros, and variant configurations for switchgears. You analyze current customer order engineering processes for medium and low voltage switchgears and find opportunities for significant optimization and automation using sophisticated EPlan features, e.g., automatic reporting, intelligent macro technology, EPlan Cogineer/EEC for rule-based design, and you are a great partner with EPlan software vendors and implementation partners, ensuring their solutions align with the needs of a highly customized systems business.Your defining qualities
You have many years of experience in CAE/electrical design, with at least several years specifically passionate about EPlan implementation and management within a systems business or highly customized product environment. You have experience in leading software implementation projects from conception to completion, particularly those involving a shift towards automated design for customized products. You have an expert-level proficiency in EPlan Electric P8, including advanced features and database management, and deep experience with EPlan tools for variant configuration, macro technology and automated project generation (e.g., EPlan Cogineer) as well as EPlans DataPortal and the eBuildDesigner. You have a good understanding of electrical design principles, schematics, panel layouts, and relevant industry standards, e.g., IEC 62271 series, ANSI/IEEE standards for MV switchgear, NFPA 79, UL 508A, and you know medium voltage switchgear design, including primary and secondary circuits, protection schemes, control logic, busbar systems, component selection (circuit breakers, disconnectors, instrument transformers). You have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.Proficiency in English and German and willingness to travel completes your profile. You are much more than your qualifications, and we believe in the potential of every single candidate. We look forward to getting to know you!
