Here, you will make an impact by: + Lead the team of project managers to build scale and project management excellence + Lead R&D commercialization process and rhythm to ensure data adherence, gaps to be identified and escalated, and accurate reporting on 3M GROW NPI dashboard, NPI results & forecast, RPM (resource portfolio manager) on R&D resources + Develop and maintain division processes and dashboards to track lab, division, SIBG, and corporate KPIs & metrics + Contribute to strategic planning with review and analysis of commercialization performance + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corporate and BG requests on strategic planning, QOR, QFR, etc. + Manage the lab indirect budget + Work with corporate R&D and SIBG commercialization team for continuous improvement of commercialization process, ensure execution / compliance with commercialization standards and expectations / processes + Propose, develop, and lead initiatives to increase the impact of commercialization globally Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution + Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: product development, commercialization, project engineering, project management in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Advanced degree from an accredited University and/or PMP Certification + Five(5) years of experience in new product commercialization in a private, public, government, or military environment + Demonstrated track record in leading large-scale projects with strong deliverables. + Strong analytical ability + Excellent communication skills – written and oral + Collaborative interpersonal style with experience in leading large cross functional project team + Comfortable with ambiguity + Strong self-initiative, organizational and administrative skills Work location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center site at least 4 days per week) Travel: May include up to 15% Domestic and/or International Travel Relocation Assistance: Not authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
