As Global Quality Process Control System (PCS) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be accountable for improving the process control for all Micron Fabs.
You will work with Front End Fabs and other central teams to provide direction and assistance with process control systems (SPC, Run to Run, Wafer at Risk, defense line 3 BKMs), vendor engagement programs and help coordinate these systems across multiple facilities globally.
In this position, you will be tasked with driving projects and program, working with vendor for application improvement & upgrade that is aimed at reducing overall product variation which will result in higher process margins, increased yield and reliability as well as productivity!
As GQ PCS engineer, you will be expected to own the SWAT in one or more of the quality systems, develop, and deploy BKM across the front end fabs. You also need to establish metrics, provide coaching and training of BKMs!
Responsibilities:
Support Strategic Process Control System Responsibilities
Support the PCS roadmap for world-wide alignment and continuous improvement of process control practices.Evaluate global needs and champion global relationships.Support and mentor SPC/PCS teams worldwide by providing guidance.Work with subject matter experts to identify business process gaps and Best Known Methods (BKMs) to address.Facilitate communication plan for all SWAT activities to/from stakeholders, participants, and management.Refine SWAT charter, and build roadmap going forward for world-wide alignment and continuous improvement of practices.Evaluate the quality of data collected, drawing conclusions based on this data and initiating follow-up action items.Collaborate with QRA, OCT procedures, cPIE, SMAI and IT to ensure all business needs are accurately detailed, validated, and addressed when necessary.Resolve if project objectives have been met or if more effort is required.Demonstrate Individual Competence/Technical Expertise
Provide technical consulting and hands-on assistance to Fab PCS teams for creation and/or identification of best SPC practices/BKMs, deploying new PCS BKMs in network.Define PCS software requirements for Corp IT. Act as the liaison between SWAT team and Corp IT team; provide technical expertise to assist IT with understanding the SWAT’s current and future needs.Evaluate PCS solutions - third-party software and hardware selection.Recognize functional and business process gaps. Formulate proposals for closing them.Increase technical expertise by participating in classes conferences, and researching existing literature and existing Micron expertise.Program Management

Understand and use appropriate communication channels (other Central Team members, Purchasing, etc.). Clearly and accurately communicate Micron’s needs and objectives to vendors/suppliers. Adheres to company ethics and confidentiality policies regarding vendors/suppliers.Requirements :
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study5 years experience in Process Control Engineering.A Process/Equipment Engineering background and experience.An understanding of Fab processes and tools.Familiarity with area and Fab software applications, such as SPACE, Stargate, SPIES, E3 R2R, E3 FD,, GeRM, Sigma, JMP, and Yield 3.Strong analytical problem-solving skills.Self-motivated and people oriented: have strong persuasive and diplomatic interpersonal skills (oral, written, one-on-one, and group).Been recognized as an individual who obtains results through the coordination of successful teams.Good time-management skills.Good judgment.Above average working relationships with co-workers.A high level of self-motivation with a good work ethic.The ability to work unsupervised and support production needsThe ability and willingness to travel, including extended business travel.As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
