The Global Product organization delivers the holistic product strategy for Visa and accelerates the seamless delivery of our products into markets. The Global Portfolio Operations team is accountable for driving transparent and consistent portfolio management practices to ensure the highest impact investments are prioritized.

Job Description

The role will support the Senior Director of Global Product Operations Strategy & Planning across a range of strategy, operations, and planning activities. Time spent on these areas will shift based on business needs. The Strategy Senior Manager will own workstreams of key strategic and program management initiatives (e.g., long-range strategy development, portfolio diagnostics, executive leadership forums) and ensure the Consumer Product, Data & Platform (CPDP) leadership team is equipped with the data and insights to meet growth imperatives.

Strong candidates are versatile team players who learn fast, have high EQ and IQ, and carry a demonstrated record of driving workstreams while managing a multitude of senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a structured, critical thinker with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. S/he can make the complex simple.

Experience in portfolio management, product development/management, management consulting, or business strategy/operations is a plus.

S/he is thoughtful, curious, and analytical with a desire to make an impact. Experience in today’s complex, global payments ecosystem is a foundational aspect of the role.

Guide the CPDP strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and objectivesLead workstreams / projects related to multi-year strategy development to achieve Visa 2030 and product and technology transformationStructure and solve business problems, collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on issues with far-reaching business impactCommunicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional teams and management in a clear, concise, and impactful waySupport CPDP senior leadership team by developing thought leadership for internal executive meetings / forumsManage day-to-day project and team activities to meet milestones and timelines, while reporting on the progress of strategic initiatives to senior leadershipProactively manage upwards to pre-empt critical business opportunities and challengesCollaborate with key stakeholders across Product, Technology, Strategy and Finance global and regional teams to ensure proper execution of quarterly planning, manage product portfolio funding processes, and improve visibility into product portfolios for better decision-making.Drive collaboration and alignment between key stakeholders to enhance discussions on portfolio health and develop data-driven insights to help teams continuously re-prioritize investments and generate productivity improvements.Focus on maximizing return on portfolio investments and accelerating Visa's growth towards 2030 strategy by understanding portfolio investment data and driving new insights for leadership.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic planning or a related role, ideally in a corporate setting.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with proven ability to influence and guide a diverse customer audience in a matrixed environment, ranging from junior to executive level across product, finance and technical stakeholders and build credibility as a peer with partners
• Experience with defining and implementing new processes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment self-motivated, self-managed, and results-oriented individual with the ability to roll up their sleeves and handle concurrent projects
• Strong organizational skill, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
• Advanced level of MS Office Experience (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Experience preferred in JIRA Align, Power BI, Power Apps, Visio is a plus

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 134,900.00 to 195,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
