We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our A2R GPO department as a Global process and project excellence specialist, focusing on Fixed Asset Management and Cash Accounting processes. This role is crucial in driving efficiency and optimization within our Account-to-Report (A2R) Service Line, contributing to the overall financial performance of the organization.

Our Team 

Accounts to Report is an end-to-end organization that manages multiple Center of Excellence including Accounting Services activities from Cash Accounting to Financial Reporting. Accounts to Report consolidates the following activities: Intercompany, cash accounting, fixed asset accounting, IFRS16, Inventories, Closing, Reporting, Manage audit queries and Master Data.

The A2R Global Process Ownership team is tasked with driving Core Process Model design, updates, continuous improvements and to bring next generation of innovation to the end-to-end operations. The Core Model mainly comprises processes, technology landscape, roles and responsibilities (RACI), business rules and KPI’s.

Summary of Responsibilities 

The purpose of the Global Process Expert (GPE) role is to design effective and efficient core model processes, drive effective process & digital solution implementation, manage any deviations, and alignment within the other members of the GPO team & relevant neighboring functions. 

He/she is the gatekeeper for the Cash accounting and Fixed assets function within A2R, working closely together with the other Global Process Lead & Regional/Hub Continuous Improvement Leads.  He/ she is a key member of the Service Line governance and drives the definition and monitoring KPIs glide path to excellence. 

A key aspect of the position is the continuous search for simplification, through process automation and standardization, leveraging state-of-the art technologies and innovation. 

He/she has a key role in: 

Ensuring consistent adoption of optimized processes, implemented across all regions continuously improving process efficiency, promoting best practices and performance mindset, fostering user experience, and enhancing compliance. 

Leading core model implementation and change management, notably in harmonizing activities across the global hub structure. 

Driving efficiency through automation leveraging on new digital technologies 

Delivering global projects in their functional area, aiming at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes 

Overseeing the process performance across the different geographies and providing input how it can be further improved.

Overseeing the portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives managed in the different regions and global delivery centers

Build a strong and efficient relationship and communication with all process stakeholders. 

The Global Process Expert, Cash accounting and Fixed assets reports to the Cash accounting and Fixed assets Global Process Lead and works closely with other Finance departments and neighboring functions (Treasury, Controlling Operations, Consolidation) 

Key Accountabilities 

Core Model

Ownership of the Core Model for Cash accounting and Fixed assets including best in class digital solutions. This includes (but not limited to): 

Cash accounting and Fixed assets process excellence & continuous improvement 

Cash accounting and Fixed assets Process & Solution including AI

Cash accounting and Fixed assets Data Core Model design 

Support Model design 

Coordination with all process stakeholders. 

Support to review and update training content for A2R Academy/Training plan ensuring changes are communicated

Maintain and improve Core Model processes in collaboration with Continuous Improvement Lead (process, management rules, RACI, roles & organization, internal control, solution). 

Support to review any change requests and exceptions to the Core Model with the regions 

Ensure processes levels 1-5 are fully documented and for levels 6-7 the process, business rules & detailed standard operations are documented where it is meaningful to do so 

Ensure Internal control and compliance are embedded within process designs 

Drive Innovation to ensure that the end-to-end process is “future proof”.  

Examine and propose processes and solutions 

Select and implement relevant technology, increasing automation of activities or improving process outcomes 

Global Projects & Initiatives 

Support to deliver projects across all regions, notably technologies implementation 

Support neighboring functions projects & other global initiatives impacting the Service Line 

Ensure relevant data are available to support business case and on-going project reviews 

Own the business case for the relevant project including its implementation impact within the Finance P&L 

Stakeholder Management and Change Management: 

Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across all geographies and support on driving standardization of processes 

Identify alignment needs and manage relationship with neighboring functions 

Ensure strong relationships with the regions (Regional Heads and Global Delivery Centers teams) through both solid governance and informal and formal networking 

Provide process expertise to Global Delivery Centers and Regions as required 

Reach out to GPL peers on Controlling GPO team and neighboring functions GPO teams for exchanges on best practices 

PROFILE REQUIRED 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Account-to-Report processes, with a strong focus on Fixed Asset and Cash Accounting in an international, multicultural environment.

Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end Account-to-Report processes and demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies.

Advanced proficiency in SAP FI, SAP S4, and other A2R-related IT tools.

Expert-level skills in Microsoft Office suite and Blackline.

Proven track record in project management, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.

Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other European languages is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Experience working in a shared services environment or global organization.

Familiarity with process automation tools and techniques.

Six Sigma or Lean certification.
