As a Water Quality Technologist, you will be tasked with providing support to global pursuits and projects within Drinking Water and Reuse Solutions. The Water Quality Technologist will have a strong focus on addressing water quality issues impacting drinking water systems. This is both on the source waters in terms of algal, organics and other pesticides and distribution system water quality dealing with lead/copper, nitrification, early warning monitoring, flushing, water age, legionella, and disinfection by-products. You will routinely interact with the other Global Principals in Drinking Water and Reuse solutions. Your core internal and external leadership responsibilities will include: · Guiding and implementing our Solution thought leadership activities to shape our differentiated brand, reputation, and value proposition externally · Facilitating, positioning and engagement in partnership with our client account managers and sales teams to ensure Jacobs is the preeminent, trusted partner of choice for targeted new and existing core clients in the Drinking Water and Reuse Solution space · Collaborating across the S&T organization to provide differentiated value Strategy and Growth Focus · Supports the execution of Solution strategies in coordination with growth and sales, operations, and project delivery · Collaborates with the Global and Regional organizations to identify, understand, adapt, and shape market trends and potential growth opportunities, leverages technologies and best practices to differentiate our offering to clients · Identifies opportunities and provides leadership in business development with world-class technical expertise, differentiation and innovative solutions that create outstanding value to our clients · Ensures appropriate Senior Technical Consultant (STC) engagement on key pursuits Drives Innovation Focus · Face of the company with clients and in the marketplace for the Technology area with regular direct engagement · Develops and supports conference participation and presentations for the Technology area in coordination with the S&T Regional organization · Provides coordination and leadership role across the Technology area, promotes and sponsors Community of Practices (CoP), supports their initiatives People Focus · Attracts, recruits, retains, and mentors the best technical and subject matter expert talent in the industry · Provides technical career opportunities, teamwork, and engagement for integration of staff at multiple levels · Leads and manages career development and coaching for practitioners in the Technology area Delivery Focus Collaborates with the project delivery organizations to ensure appropriate Senior Technical Consultant (STC) engagement on projects Bachelors or Advanced degree in Science, Engineering, or related field · Progressive consulting experience · Progressive experience in talent development · Experience in strategy development, business development and sales · Must be willing to travel for pursuits, projects, client relationship management, talent development, etc. · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Able to demonstrate external and internal thought leadership skills and experience · Must be able to efficiently deliver results in a highly matrixed, fast moving, and complex environment · Professional registration is desired, but not required Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
