YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Strategy & Management
Be a key pillar in continuing to shape and drive a holistic, globalized public relations approach.
Oversee creation and execution of global, highly effective, and engaging consumer PR strategies.
Build robust and engaging communications strategies and plans to drive stories, ensure execution and results.
Continually seek, recommend, and implement new and exciting external communication opportunities.
Provide ongoing PR counsel to brand marketing teams in North America as well as in the other regions where BRP operates.
Work collaboratively with team members to maximize ROI across sponsorships, influencers, brand ambassadors, and others.
Work collaboratively with regional communications teams across the globe.
Manage PR agency of record, working closely with them to keep the team focused on priorities, producing results, and staying on budget.
Manage PR budget.
Media relations
Serve as primary point-of-contact for inbound and outbound media activity.
Proactively nurture and build strong relationships with relevant reporters and editors.
Own reactive day-to-day press information and materials request fulfillment: offer media a respected, knowledgeable, timely, day-to-day contact.
Maintain up-to-date media list and create new relationships with endemic and non-endemic editors, journalists, influencers.
Assess and support to incoming media inquiries including determining appropriate response, developing key messages, interview preparation and acting as spokesperson on issues where appropriate.
Research, write, edit, translate, and distribute news releases, media advisories, media pitches, backgrounders, and any other relevant media materials. Build PR toolkits to be adapted and leveraged across the globe.

Facilitate interviews with spokespeople.
Lead the plan, organization, and execution of media events and activations.
Participate to media event planning and execution, and support in always enhancing PR in-person activations. Be ready to travel when necessary.
Media Listening, Measurement & Reporting
Lead monitoring and tracking global external communications results.
Analyze results to share wins, insights and lessons learned.
Follow the media industry trends, movements, and news.
Keep a finger on the pulse of trends; clearly and confidently share thoughts and recommendations to increase and optimize Can-Am’s external visibility.
Split: 85 % Sea-Doo and 15 % Uncharted Society.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
The best candidate is deeply passionate about powersports, media relations and communications. They actively consume all forms of media and are very familiar with trends in on- and offline media consumption. The person has a creative mind, is a clear and concise communicator, possesses solid collaboration skills, as well as strong critical and strategic thinking.
Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, or related field to the job.
10+ years of relevant public relations experience in the powersports, automotive, motorcycle or boating industries.
2 + years of experience in watersports and outdoor activities related to media.
Excellent knowledge of the media landscape in Canada and in the United States.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English (French is an asset).
Strong work ethic, hands on approach, high attention to detail.
Management skills and experience, an asset.
Remote role with the ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
