**About the Role**
We are seeking a passionate and strategic storyteller. As the Global Narrative Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping our core advertising positioning and driving the go-to-market strategy for Uber Advertising globally.
Reporting to the Head of Narrative Strategy, you will develop compelling, differentiated messaging that resonate with advertisers across various industries. You are a strategic thinker who excels at weaving together insights and data to create captivating, holistic stories. You understand the advertising landscape deeply, including full-funnel strategies.
This role requires a self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguity and forging new paths with minimal direction in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The position will likely focus on supporting one of our key advertising verticals: 1) Endemic Categories: Restaurants, Grocery & Retail/CPG, or 2) Non-Endemic Categories: Tech/Telco, Finance, Travel/Luxury/Beauty. Your work will directly support the Uber Advertising Sales and Account Management teams to drive sustainable revenue growth.
**What You'll Do:**
+ **Develop Vertical Narrative & Positioning:** Craft innovative and forward-looking industry presentation narratives and sales toolkits to define and articulate Uber Advertising's unique value proposition. Tailor the toolkits to address the specific needs of clients and agencies within your assigned verticals.
+ **Thought Leadership:** Develop thought leadership narratives to be integrated into key client meetings, vertical summits, and industry events, positioning Uber Advertising as an innovative leader.
+ **Lead with Insights:** Surface trends and partner closely with Measurement Science/Insights teams to embed data-backed insights into all narratives and materials. Understand our advertisers deeply - their challenges, objectives, and the data needed to inform compelling stories.
+ **Influence Go-to-Market:** Influence GTM plans for our overall positioning and new advertising product releases. Create impactful sales enablement materials, including presentations, toolkits, talking points, case studies, and best practice or self-serve guides.
+ **Global Scalability & Localization:** Champion a global mindset while understanding the importance of local nuance. Collaborate closely with regional/local Global Partner Solutions (GPS) counterparts and marketing partners to tailor and adapt core and vertical narratives, toolkits, and materials, ensuring they resonate within specific markets and effectively enable local sales teams. Oversee translation and localization efforts.
+ **Activate Messaging:** Ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all sales and marketing channels (client meetings, industry events, digital content) to build broad awareness and excitement among key advertising partners.
+ **Collaborate Cross-Functionally:** Partner effectively with global and regional teams including Ad Sales, Account Management, Product, Measurement, Science & Insights, Comms/PR, Design, Content and Industry Marketing to ensure a cohesive and consistent ads narrative and strategy. Synthesize inputs from various teams to create unified resources.
+ **Maintain Brand Consistency:** Ensure a consistent global brand identity for Uber Advertising materials by collaborating with design and copy teams to develop and maintain a unified and recognizable look and feel as well as tone of voice worldwide.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years' of professional experience in Advertising, Advertising Insights, Ads Marketing, Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, or similar
+ Proven experience developing and delivering impactful presentations, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market materials within the advertising, media, or tech industry
+ Bachelor's Degree
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape, platforms, measurement principles, and full-funnel marketing strategies, including self-serve and performance marketing
+ Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information, data, and market trends into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
+ Visual storytelling and design skills to enhance the clarity, engagement, and impact of sales marketing materials
+ Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Product, Marketing, Design, Insights) in a fast-paced, matrixed organization. Highly collaborative team player, strong influencer, and relationship builder
+ Comfortable adopting and leveraging new technologies, including AI tools, to enhance narrative development, insights generation, and workflow efficiency
+ Experience supporting specific advertising verticals (e.g., Restaurants, CPG, Retail, Finance, Travel) is a strong plus
+ Proficiency in additional languages is a plus, Spanish, French, or Brazilian Portuguese
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$117,000 per year - USD$129,500 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$130,000 per year - USD$144,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$130,000 per year - USD$144,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
